About Med and Tonic
Med and Tonic is a clinical logbook for medical and surgical residents. It turns a spoken or typed case (in English, Arabic or both) into a structured clinical note, keeps every case in a searchable personal logbook, and builds case presentations for morning reports and teaching rounds.
Who built it
Med and Tonic is built by Dr. Mohab Anwar, a doctor who wanted a faster way to record and learn from the cases seen during training. It is designed around how residents actually present cases: history, examination, investigations, assessment and plan.
What it is, and what it is not
- It is a documentation and learning tool for qualified clinicians and trainees.
- It is not a medical device and does not make diagnoses or treatment decisions. Clinical decisions stay with the treating clinician.
- AI output can be wrong. Always check notes and summaries before relying on them.
